How it Works
Each globe combines vibrant artwork with our patented technology, creating a flawless rotation without batteries or messy cords. Hidden solar cells use ambient natural or artificial light for power, while the earth’s magnetic field provides the necessary torque. These elements work seamlessly to power a 'whisper-quiet' mechanism, allowing the globe to rotate within its clear outer shell. Each piece is assembled with such precision, it appears the inner and outer layers are one – rotating without any outside power source.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do MOVA Globes need to be outdoors since they are solar-powered?
Although they contain solar cells, MOVA Globes are designed as indoor decor items and actually operate best in ambient light. It is best not to keep MOVA Globes exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time, as this can lead to the graphics fading.
What kind of lighting works best with MOVA Globes?
MOVA Globes work best with bright, consistent ambient light, such asindoor LED lights, fluorescent lighting, or indirect sunlight near a window.
While they function in most light conditions, bright, full-spectrum LED light is recommended, while high-powered halogen lights should be avoided due to heat, and prolonged direct sun can fade graphics.
Can the MOVA Globe be placed on a different stand?
Yes, MOVA Globes can be placed on a different stand, provided it is non-magnetic and securely cradles the globe. While they come with a standard acrylic base, alternative stands like wood or crystal can be used, but you should avoid iron bases which can interfere with the globe's internal magnetic drive.
How should MOVA Globes be cared for?
MOVA Globes require minimal maintenance, focusing onkeeping the surface clean and ensuring proper light and magnetic conditions for rotation. Gently clean with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints, or rinse with water. Avoid abrasive cleaners and, if necessary, use mild soap, ensuring no liquid enters the base.
